Performances of different GRIP methods as the number of causal SNPs changes

  • Generally speaking, when the number of causal SNPs decreases, we would become better at GRIP.
  • It seems that a disease's degree of polygenicity does not affect the difficulty of GRIP as much as its heritability (which is kind of expected).
  • Note that the total number of SNPs in the simulation is 27059. Hence –
    • 10 causal SNPs ≅ 0.0370%
    • 100 causal SNPs ≅ 0.3700%
    • 500 causal SNPs ≅ 1.8478%
